Itinerary from St. Peter's Square to the Basilica of Santa Maria in Trastevere

The itinerary takes us to Trastevere, one of the city's most charming neighborhoods.

Once we reach Piazza della Rovere, the route follows the Lungotevere in the shade of the large plane trees. The gaze sweeps over the historic architecture and domes reflected in the water, crossed by thousand-year-old bridges. Alternatively, you can go down to the quayside and stroll along the water's edge to Ponte Sisto, then delve into the characteristic alleys of Trastevere.
