Itinerary from Piazza Navona to the Trevi Fountain

This itinerary leads from Piazza Navona to the Trevi Fountain. The route passes through Rome's historic center: along just over 1 km of charming alleys, we'll visit some of the city's wonders.

From Piazza Navona, we move first to the Pantheon, one of the most iconic and best-preserved monuments of ancient Rome. Its dome, considered a masterpiece of ancient Roman engineering and architecture, is definitely worth a visit.

Very close to the Pantheon, we can visit the Basilica of Santa Maria sopra Minerva, a rare example of Gothic architecture in Rome. In the Piazza della Minerva opposite, we can admire the iconic "Pulcin della Minerva," a graceful elephant designed by Bernini holding up one of the obelisks of ancient Rome.

The route continues towards the Church of Sant'Ignazio di Loyola, an example of the most spectacular Roman Baroque, with its false dome that leaves every visitor speechless. To reach the Trevi Fountain, we pass through Piazza di Pietra, where we admire the remains of the ancient temple of Emperor Hadrian, completely incorporated into a 17th-century building.

The last stop on the route is the Trevi Fountain. The Trevi Fountain, famous throughout the world for its beauty: a triumph of marble and water that perfectly embodies the spirit of the Baroque period.

From the Trevi Fountain, you can continue towards the Spanish Steps and then Piazza del Popolo, or climb the Quirinale Hill to admire the Quirinale Palace, the official residence of the President of the Italian Republic.
